John Younger
President, CEO and Founder
For over 23 years, John’s passion to dramatically improve how people and jobs find each other has drawn upon his deep understanding of technology, the recruitment process and a core belief that everyone deserves courtesy and respect. Examples of this commitment include: finding an Executive Director for a large mental health facility in upstate New York; an Executive Director for a halfway house for homeless women in Oakland, CA; and working closely with a global solar energy company to find talented individuals across all disciplines as it becomes one of the world’s largest producers of solar energy. John also participates on numerous boards, including being an advisory board member to Astia, a non profit to promote women led organizations.
John was Resumix user #2 in 1988 and established the first Vendor on Premises for both Bank of America and Olsten Corporation in 1992. He was an early adopter of Internet recruiting with the On-Line Career Center (to later become Monster) in 1993, and was Hire.com user #4 while running his Venture Talent Recruitment Agency in 1998.
John’s vision for a completely outsourced staffing solution led him to found y/net in January 1996. After a successful launch of y/net, TriNet acquired John and his company in November 1996 where he remained until December 1999. TriNet was one of Inc. Magazine’s 500 fastest growing companies in 1996, 1997, 1998 and 1999.
Applauded for his ability to accurately predict trends in the industry and deliver engaging presentations, he has been asked to speak at events in the United States, Australia, Belgium and United Kingdom. Some of these venues and organizations include Kennedy Events, OnRec, Entrepreneurs Organization, Net Impact, Torchiana, Experience Unlimited and Northern California Human Resource Association. John is also a member of The Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO), a global business network of 8,000+ business owners in 121 chapters and 40 countries.
From 1987 to 1994, John was the Vice President of Human Resources for Bank of America where he led technical recruitment for an organization of 16,000 people. John earned a degree from Notre Dame in Mathematics and Computer Science and is a former member of the Unites States National (Olympic) Rowing Team.
Ray Rike
Chief Operating Officer
Ray joined Accolo in 2009, and is responsible for leading all of Accolo’s Cloud Recruiting® operations including Marketing, Sales, Client Management, Job Performance Center and the Accolo Hiring Consultant Network. See More >
Ray brings 25 years of SaaS, software, and services leadership with significant experience in building and leading high growth global sales, marketing and service delivery teams. Previously Ray held senior executive roles at public, multi-national companies including GE Global Exchange Services (GE), QRS (QRSI) and also has held key leadership roles at emerging technology companies including Accruent, MarketFirst and Netscape at their joint venture (Actra) with GE.
Ray graduated from The Ohio State University with degrees in computer science and operations management. Ray is also a graduate of the GE Executive Management Development Program.
Cynthia Countouris
Vice President, Marketing
Cynthia joined Accolo in the fall of 2009 and brings over 19 years of experience in the development and marketing of software solutions. See More >
Prior to joining Accolo, Cynthia Countouris provided executive and product leadership to several Silicon Valley firms including Sawyer Media and MarketFirst, a founder of the marketing automation space, where she was VP of Product Management and Marketing. Before MarketFirst, Ms. Countouris led marketing technology and IT groups for such industry leaders as Autodesk, Inc. and Silicon Graphics, Inc. While at Autodesk, she provided industry expertise to SAP directing the development of their SAP:ISSW release, a specific layer supporting the contracts, marketing, product licensing and subscription tracking requirements of software manufacturers.
Ms. Countouris received her B.S. and Masters of Science in Industrial Administration (MBA) with concentrations in Marketing and Information Systems from Carnegie Mellon University.
Michael Howell
Vice President, Technology
Michael joined Accolo in February of 2010 and is responsible for leading the product development and technology functions, delivering a world class SAAS technology platform. See More >
Michael brings 13 years of software and product development experience to Accolo, with significant experience building large high performing systems and the teams that produce them. Most recently he was Senior Vice President of Technology at Broadlane, where he led the technology group through tremendous growth and included responsibilities for software development, quality assurance, user experience and various support groups. Prior to Broadlane, Michael held key positions at Ventro and Oracle Corporation.
Michael graduated from Florida State University with an undergraduate degree in Civil/ Environmental Engineering and a graduate degree in Management of Information Systems.
