We know what you're thinking...but let us explain
Some people hear the term "green business" and they think, "What a great idea! It's about time businesses got serious about this." Others hear it and think, "What kind of overpriced junk are they about to sell me?" And there's us ... we think both groups have a point.
Let's face it -- there is a perception that environmentalists are a bunch of self-righteous, tie-dye wearing, guitar strumming kooks who care more about a tree or an owl than the real people. And they certainly don't know a thing about the way business works. On the other side, there's a view that some businesses act like opportunists who will slap a label on just about anything, call it "green" and charge a premium price for it. See more ...

At Accolo, we don't want people to think we're being self-righteous or acting green just to sell something. We just think that the Earth is facing a very real crisis and it's up to all of us to do something. We believe that environmentalism and sound business practices are not mutually exclusive. To prove that point, we developed the EcoPartnership program -- our way to make it easier for our clients to go green.
The Accolo EcoPartnership program connects clients with our EcoPartners who will help them use sustainable energy, recycle electronics, and reduce their carbon footprint. And to give them credit for their investment, we're offering a rebate on our services equivalent to their environmental investment -- up to 10 percent of their invoiced expenditures.
Creating real change starts one step at a time, and we want to encourage everyone to take that first step. Maybe it’s something as simple as an incentive program for employees to encourage environmentally friendly commuting. Riding your bike, taking mass transit or carpooling to work one day a week can reduce your commuting emissions by 20 percent -- and, on top of that, we like how hot we look in those spandex bike shorts. Wow ... did we just say that?

About the EcoPartnership program
Doing the right thing for the environment isn't without some cost in time, effort and money. To make it a little easier for our clients who are trying to green themselves, we decided to offer a financial incentive. Think of it as our way to say thanks, because we're all in this together.
