Accolo leads RPO industry with leveraging leader in enterprise social software

Socialtext – PALO ALTO, CA – November 15, 2011 – Socialtext, the leading enterprise social software provider, announced further expansion of their market momentum in Q3 2011 with new customer wins and user adoption increasing by 268%, compared to Q3/2010. Furthermore, the company announced it achieved cash-flow break-even during the period.

Socialtext added a number of enterprise customers and new deployments, including Accolo, Blue Man Group, Food and Drug Administration, National Park Service, and Southeastern Railway, and SPM Telecom.

“Our Socialtext Intranet provides us with the social business platform we have been looking for and we are transforming our business daily, so the scalability of the software has the management team very excited,” said David Wharton, Director of Infrastructure, Blue Man Group. “It provides a center for departmental communication and collaboration. Employees are participating widely, and are very excited about the interface. Since we represent an internationally known entertainment brand, having the ability to display media and internal happenings is crucial to our work. With Socialtext, we can collaborate on a whole new level!”

Socialtext delivered Socialtext 5.0 which included a new user interface for powerful content management and people discovery, and introduced new editor, task management, page creation and tracking capabilities, as well as a theme selector, among other administrative features. Also released with Socialtext 5.0 is Socialtext 360, a people recommendation engine that visualizes the proximity between you and your colleagues based on chosen profile attributes. Socialtext 5.0 not only provides a state of the art user experience, but also represents a major upgrade to the infrastructure of the technology and a platform for future features, enhancements and launches. Upcoming feature enhancements include several native mobile applications, as well as integrations with Twitter and Netdocuments. With this ability to integrate Netdocuments, Socialtext has expanded the infrastructure to integrate with other document repositories like SharePoint.

In Q3, Socialtext received strong recognition by Gartner in the Magic Quadrant for Social Software in the Workplace, positioned as a Visionary for its ability to execute and completeness of vision, as well as from Forrester Research in “The Forrester Wave™: Enterprise Social Platforms, Q3 2011″ report, in which Socialtext was ranked 4.5 out of 5.0 and recognized as a Strong Performer. In addition to these leading industry reports, Socialtext was ranked as a Collaboration Platform “Champion” in Info-Tech Research Group’s Vendor Landscape Report, being recognized as the platform with the strongest delivery method.

“We’re pleased with the great number of staff who already joined the service/platform/site, and who’re using it to connect with colleagues they otherwise wouldn’t have met, sharing their knowledge and expertise along the way,” said Rupert Atterbury Thomas, Communications Manager, Southeastern Railway.

“This is clearly the time to be putting 110% of our efforts behind the enterprise social networking industry given the adoption we’ve seen from the enterprise and given our moment and leadership,” said Eugene Lee, Socialtext, CEO. “Next quarter, we’ll be introducing additional key features of Socialtext 5.0 to the market and expect to see continued growth through the end of the year and into 2012 with strong demand for Socialtext’s solutions, especially with mid-market enterprises.”
