October 20, 2006
Larkspur, CA – October 20, 2006 – Accolo, Inc., an innovator in professional-networking based Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO), today announced that it has been recognized as the number one fastest growing private company in the San Francisco Bay Area.
The Top 100 Fastest Growing Private Companies annual award is presented by the San Francisco Business Times and by PriceWaterhouseCoopers. It recognizes Bay Area-based private companies by revenue growth for the threeyear period 2003 to 2005.
Scott Foos, Executive Director for the Recruitment Process Outsourcing Association (RPOA) commented, “Recruitment Process Outsourcing is rapidly expanding, and Accolo is a true leader in the industry. The RPO model is one where a company like Accolo literally becomes a company’s internal recruiting department. Accolo’s ability to outperform traditional internal recruiting departments and agencies based on quantifiable metrics is truly impressive.” “Our continued growth reflects the trend among businesses to incorporate outsourcing as part of their overall talent management and acquisition strategy,” said John Younger, President and CEO of Accolo. “Companies need to hire the right people quickly. By having Accolo provide the staff, management, process, technology and aggressive sourcing to find their top performers, our clients can focus on their core business.”
“Accolo’s formula is unique in the marketplace. In addition to incorporating industry best practices, we built a proprietary referral network of over 400,000 members that is growing by 10 percent per month. To date, our members have referred more than 10,000 candidates, and these referrals serve as our top source of hires. We have repeatedly proven the viability of our process and technology for jobs across hundreds of levels and disciplines,” said Younger. He added, “We are most proud of the fact that fairness and respect have been added back into the recruiting process, which is in stark contrast to what most applicants experience today.”
Kevin Wheeler, a prolific writer and thought leader in the recruiting industry, commented “What’s particularly noteworthy is the fact that Accolo was growing during the same period that many recruitment related technologies and companies were going out of business when the dot-com bubble burst. Accolo has a unique combination of technology and high personal touch with the integration of a proprietary social network, and it’s not surprising that they are one of the fastest growing RPOs in the world.”

More Effective Hiring Model Takes Center Stage - Propels Accolo to #14 in the Top 100 San Francisco Bay Area’s Fastest Growing Private Companies
Larkspur, CA – November 13, 2007 – Accolo, Inc., an innovator in professional-networking based Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO), today announced that it has been recognized as the fourteenth fastest growing private company in the San Francisco Bay Area.
The Top 100 Fastest Growing Private Companies annual award is presented by the San Francisco Business Times and by PriceWaterhouseCoopers. It recognizes Bay Area-based private companies by revenue growth for the three year period 2004 to 2006.
“Accolo has a proven, cost-effective solution that gives us an edge in identifying and hiring the best talent possible for our firm as well as our portfolio companies, eliminating the need for staffing software or resume databases. We were so happy with their services we decided to invest in the company earlier this year,” said Ho Nam, General Partner of Altos Ventures.
John Younger, Accolo’s CEO emphasized “Our continued growth reflects the trend among companies to focus on their core business and leave the hiring process to us. Companies need to hire the right people quickly, not focus on recruitment software or an applicant tracking system. By having Accolo provide the staff, management, process, technology and aggressive sourcing to find their top performers, our clients gain a competitive advantage.”
“Accolo’s formula is unique in the marketplace. In addition to being based on the top 10 hiring best practices, we developed a proprietary referral network by treating people with fairness and follow-through while keeping their information confidential. The result is a rapidly growing network of over 600,000 members who are actively referring the people they know to our clients’ jobs. To date, our members have referred more than 20,000 candidates, and these referrals serve as our clients’ top source of hires.” said Younger. He added, “We are most proud of the fact that respect for each person has been added back into the hiring process, which is in stark contrast to what most applicants experience today.”
Geoffrey Moore, author of Crossing the Chasm and Inside the Tornado: Strategies for Developing, Leveraging, and Surviving Hypergrowth Markets, emphasized “The concept of Accolo is one that changes the rules. Accolo has looked deeply at the hiring problem from all perspectives, and their combination of technology, process, consulting and systematic relationship building challenges the assumptions about recruiting that most people take as sacrosanct.”
